I first fell in love with photography in eighth grade. My love for art came much earlier, when a representative from the art museum came to our school, quarterly, and brought several prints from various renown artists. The prints were lined up and we would discuss the color, mood, light, and story behind each piece. My eyes were always drawn to the pictures with people dancing and living passionately.
So with art already embedded within my heart, I approach photography with an intent to capture life passionately. When I arrive at a new wedding venue I love to find the beautiful and graceful natural light sources that will highlight my bride’s story.
San Francisco has some of the most beautiful and architecturally stylish venues. I love places like the Palace of Fine Arts and San Francisco’s Historic City Hall. Napa’s wine country, with over 200 wineries offers some of the most lush hillsides with it’s wedding venues. They all have thrilling and breathtaking backdrops that add to the feel and style of a couple’s wedding session.
I’ve been a wedding photographer for six years, and I’ve continued to educate myself in the various styles of photography and lighting. I’m trained in both natural light and creative light photography. I’m skilled in bringing in the right amount of ambient light for the setting to bring out the best style and mood.
We use Canon cameras and lenses. My favorite aperture is 2.8, I just love how it helps pop the subject off of the background. My second shooter is my husband and I just love how he looks in a button up shirt. Most of all I love how he fulfills my life!
